'photographs' drawn with a ballpoint pen
Amazing art done with only a (or up to 14) blue ball point pen/s.
See the rest of the story and some examples here...

They may look like pin-sharp photographs - but these amazing pictures are actually drawings created with the humble ballpoint pen.
The stunning pictures, measuring up to 10ft high, were drawn by a rising star of the art world, Juan Francisco Casas.
Casas, 31, can use up to four 14p ballpoint pens for a canvas and his works are already a sell-out at exhibitions.
Formerly a traditional painter, Juan began the drawings three years ago based on photographs of nights out with his friends.

first trip

"Smooschie"....as she's affectionately called.
This weekend, Almendra is going to Geneva to visit some friends and do some excursions with her kids. She invited Linai to go along. It's the first time Liani goes somewhere without either of us. She was all excited to travel by train and go out with Alme and her kids.
I called just now to check on them (they are still on the train ride there), and she's doing just fine..."covered in chocolate", was the report.
Anyway, I know she'll have fun.

Concerned about the environment?
From the BBC's blog from the World Economic Forum in Davos:

One chief executive, who told me at length about his profound concerns for the environment, is using a large American SUV while in Davos. It's certainly eyecatching, with its chunky design and 6 litre engine.
How is the car, I asked the driver. Well, he said, I've driven 234 kilometres so far, and used up 70 litres of fuel.
Ouch.

Will pay per play pay?
There's a buz now on the net called PayPerPlay", which promises payment for every visit to your site. The following is taken from their site.
You can find out more about them at www.getpaid.adomains.biz.
I'm sceptically giving it a shot. Interested in helping me out??

What is Pay-Per-Play Media?
NetAudioAds Pay-Per-Play (PPP) is an online media channel that plays 5 second audio advertisements like the one you just heard on websites that place the PPP code on their web pages.
Audio ads are only heard on web pages where the website owner has placed PPP code.
PPP audio ads will be contextually related to the text content (readable content) of any web page where the PPP code is placed. The advertisement you just heard is just a sample ad.
The audio ad is only 5 seconds in length and a website visitor will only hear one 5 second advertisement per visit to any specific web page where the PPP code has been inserted. The visitor will only hear one audio ad for every 3 minutes they visit if they have already heard an audio ad on another page of the same website.
Pay-Per-Play is now in huge demand by major branding advertisers all over the world. As of 12/29/2007 the Pay-Per-Play network has grown to over 6 million websites.
How Does Pay-Per-Play Work?
PPP audio ads play as soon as a visitor arrives on a web page where the PPP code is inserted. The audio advertisement is only heard and not seen and requires no action from a website visitor.
One of the main benefits of running PPP ads on your website is the fact that you never send visitors away from your site. This allows you the opportunity to continue to earn from your visitors.
PPP audio ads play automatically for 5 seconds so website owners need to choose specific pages of their website where it is appropriate for their visitors to hear a single 5 second audio advertisement.
You should be aware that PPP audio ads are not appropriate for all web pages. It is up to the website owner where they will place audio ads.

prayer
Interesting factoid from a book I'm reading.
Today there are approximately 1.3 million mosques in the world, each issuing a call to prayer five times a day. That means Muslims have 6.5 million prayer meetings every day. That's a real challenge to Christians. Not in the number of prayers, but the depth of prayer, the reality of prayer. Prayer that takes hold of the throne of God on behalf of the church in the Muslim world or the communist word or anyplace in which Christians are suffering. And also prayer for my own life, that I will go where God can use me or do today what will bring salt or light into my world.
When we confidently ask God to carry out His will and remove the obstacles, His answers bring us into the realm of the supernatural. Anything can happen!
