Well, since some of the other fathers (
Philly,
Mike) posted their Fathers Day review, I'll join
in too...although, mine was less fortunate.
We were heading out to a nearby lake with the kids, and I was strapping
down the baby buggy in the back of out pickup, when the elastic strap
slipped lose from the other side of the pickup, and the metal hook
smacked me in the eye.

to go to the hospital. I laid down with an ice-pack on my eye, and ended up spending the rest of that day, and the next in bed.
I praise and thank God for His loving protection. Had it been slightly another angle or more to the side, I would have lost my sight for sure.
It is healing well now, and I can see just fine. Just a little sore from the bruise.
One nice thing was I was able to call my dad in Brazil and give him the days wishes.
