It's the first time in 9 years that the whole family is back together. All 9 kids, husbands, kids (grandkids), and the grandmothers (great grandmothers) too.
Last night Byron (my father-in-law), took the guys out. We played Swiss bowling, which is similar to the usual bowling, but has a shorter track, 9 pins, and slightly different bowling ball. It was quite fun.
The ladies stayed home and played Yas and watched "Friends".
Tonight we are having Raclette, which is a wonderful traditional Swiss meal.
According to documentary evidence from monasteries in Ob- and Nidwalden, we can presume that Wilhelm Tell enjoyed «Bratchäs», as raclettes were formerly called, in as early as 1291. This involved melting the raclette cheese over an open fire and gradually scraping the softened cheese onto a plate. (Link)
I'll try and post more photos tomorrow.
