The vision, and the need
There are 27,000 ethnic groups comprising the world's 5.6 billion people. Pepsi and Coke have reached the remote villageswhy not the Gospel?
The church has enough money to evangelize the world. Lack of money is not the problem. There are hundreds of verses in the Scriptures on finances, but not one of them says that for lack of money my people perish. It does say for lack of vision my people perish. The need is for vision.
One of the reasons the vision is not grasped is because of the spiritual lethargy of the church. This comes from not knowing the mind of God, which is known, as we've said, through abiding communion with Him. We're not seeking His face enough. When we seek His face, we find His heart. What is His heart for? Souls!
Not waiting on Him leads to an ignorance of His plan. Noah was instructed by God how to build the ark, Moses how to raise the tabernacle. So God wants to reveal to us how He wants His work done. He wants His servants to move by revelation, not reason. And revelation comes as we spend time before Him.
Will you?
