history?
...as you can see, I've pretty much abandoned this blog. Just too much to keep up with and micro blogging has become more practical...especially from my cell phone.
So most updates I do via Twitter and pikchur, which are automatically posted on FB. killing 2 birds with one shot.
Anyhoo......
My tweets are there in the sidebar, and maybe pikchur will show up there too....unless I can make them post directly here... that would be cool.
Well, check out www.SponsorTheFuture.org to see what's keeping me busy. And if you feel so inclined, you can even donate!! ...or at least say a prayer for us as we embark on this huge venture.
Tchuse!!!

GURU – Distortion Religion –
Re-print from Steve:
It's probably "too loud", As a good friend of mine pointed out. That's the first time I believe it to be true, because this is a good (or...bad) .5 db louder then anything else I've heard out there, and 1db above much of it. (Taking into account the bass-heavy thus limiting-unfriendly mastering of these songs) FINALLY, I have reached my life's goal, to squash something louder then everything else! That actually is...WAS, one of my...secret heartcries. I can finally do what I really love, bossa nova. But really...there's just no reason for a master to be this loud other than to prove a point, because it really does crush life out of the mix- esp the snare drum. Which is why in order to not have the mix fall apart at these levels, you need to compensate in the mix. I apologize to listeners, hopefully most of you who will stomach this music anyway, aren't the purist types. You won't be hearing anything this loud from me again...at long as the world sticks to the CD standard.
So grab Guru - Distortion Revolution — by Steve McNair, Shun and Taka — here.

A lovely painting by Nyx Martinex.
I really love the feeling this one exudes.

Snowboarding is great
Today was the first time I actually hit the main slopes. Since I've never taken lessons, the few times I went, I kept to the beginners piste.
Not today!
I hit the reds and blues! I only had 2 bigger falls, but the rest of the time was awesome flying down the slopes.
Byron and I finished off the day with heading to the top, 1600 meters, and then 10 minutes flat out, dodging kids and other such things, back down to the car.
Earlier we went all the way down the mountain, but it was a bit icy below where we parked. It then took 30 min to make it back up to the top, with the different lifts, lines and all.
Anyway, I WANT MORE!
It's addicting.
So, here's the map of where we were. I hope when we get back home, I can find someplace close enough to do regularly.

Farewell 2008
So, another year has come and gone...
So much has happened, so much has changed, so much left undone and unchanged.
But we get a blank sheet of paper to write on, at the stroke of midnight.
So, BRING IT ON!
Happy New Year folks.
